What the data shows
Across the reels Reelyze has analyzed, the single biggest retention loss happens in the opening seconds: the hook decides everything. Reels that survive the first 3 seconds go on to earn the shares, likes and saves that drive reach, in that order. The fix is almost always a stronger, faster opening, not more content later.
